My Profession

I am a graduate engineer in aerospace engineering. I studied at the Technical University of Berlin and the École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile in Toulouse and have over 25 years of professional experience. During my studies, I also completed training as a private pilot (PPL-A).

The focus of my work lies in the areas of environment and aviation, particularly in noise and emissions, capacity and punctuality, safety & security, and airline management in general. In 2009, I founded the start-up Baxpress, a ground handling company designed to enable remote baggage check-in for air passengers. However, due to the delayed opening of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and the resulting financial gap, the company had to file for insolvency. Since then, I have been working as a freelancer, actively contributing to digital transformation projects and other initiatives.

My clients include numerous German airports, the German Environmental Protection Agency, and the Federal Ministry of Transport. Currently, I work with the Lufthansa Group as a Product Manager in software development and with the European Commission as an independent expert for the technical evaluation of research projects.
